STIS partnered with California-based SAFER Systems to work together
toward enhancing technical software capabilities. SAFER Systems owns
Trace®, an advanced software system designed to detect the atmospheric
discharge of hazardous substances (e.g. phosgene, HCN, HF, chlorine,
ammonia) in chemical plants and laboratories, distribution vehicles,
and storage containers. Trace® software simulates density distribution,
displaying a map of consequential damage, calculated with real-time
weather data (e.g. temperature, wind velocity and direction) in order
to mitigate damage in the event of a chemical release. We worked jointly
with SAFER Systems to complete a Japanese version of Trace® software
technology which will be available soon for licensing in Japan and in
neighboring countries through STIS. |
